Iron staining from bores is common throughout Australia.  Its impact is both ugly and damaging, and in some cases forces home owners to forgo their bore and switch to the public water supply.  This is a problem because garden owners are severely restricted with how often they water, plus the cost of scheme water is continuing to increase.
